Government - Trump Moves To Florida
The Governor of the state of New York has already replied to Donald Trump's announcement that he is changing his official state of residence to Florida: "Good Riddance."
Governor Andrew Cuomo's terse statement continued with, "It's not like Mr. Trump paid taxes here anyway," and, "He's all yours, Florida."
Trump was born and raised in New York City, but hasn't spent much time back there since moving to the White House. Most of his vacation time is spent at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
The New York Times was first to report Trump filed the paperwork to renounce Manhattan, where Trump Tower is located, according to documents filed with the Palm Beach County Circuit Court. Melania Trump also reportedly filed the paperwork that named the family's Mar-a-Lago resort as its main residence.
Playing the victim card yet again, Trump tweeted that he had been "treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state". Pundits suggest that Trump is angry about the investigations the Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York office have opened into him, his family, and his businesses.
