Logistics - Breaking In To China
Australia Post has teamed with Alibaba Cloud and the Australia-China Council to create a new online program designed to help Australian businesses expand into China.
The China Canvas Challenge is a seven-week course that will start on 25 February. It purports to show Australian companies how to tailor their products for China, as well as how to prepare logistical, legal and regulatory issues.
"As the leading cloud provider in China and having helped many international companies to grow, Alibaba Cloud knows what it takes for businesses to be successful in China," said Alibaba Cloud ANZ General Manager Raymond Ma. "Alibaba Cloud will be offering a dedicated session on the business and technical aspects of driving organisations into China with our China Gateway Program in early 2019," he added.
China's imported goods and services are on track to exceed $US40 Trillion in the next 15 years, according to some forecasts. The China Canvas Challenge wants to help Aussie companie get a piece of that.
"We recently participated in the inaugural China International Import Exhibition in November 2018 in Shanghai, where we partnered with 30 Australian businesses to showcase their products and services to the world," said Australia Post International Sales and Marketing General Manager Lincoln Wong. "We're excited to partner with Haymarket HQ on the China Canvas Challenge, helping startups and SMEs launch their products and services into the China market."
