US President Barack Obama made good on his invitation and had a meeting with president-elect Donald Trump in the White House.  Despite the fact that the orange fascist threatened to call for street protests and to try to hold up the peaceful transfer of power that is one of the hallmarks of American Democracy (now an endangered species), Mr. Obama kept it cordial and briefed his successor on domestic and foreign policy.  The outgoing President said he had been "very encouraged" by Mr Trump's interest in working on issues facing the US.  Trump thanked Mr. Obama for the meeting, and then went off to closed-door huddles with Republican leaders on Capitol Hill to plot the end of the world.

One of the two people rumored to be inline to be the next US Homeland Security chief says anti-Trump demonstrations in major cities across the US must be "quelled" because "there is no legitimate reason to protest the will of the people".  Milwaukee, Wisconsin County Sheriff David Clarke is known for outlandish statements and threats of violence, as well as wearing a cowboy hat in hopes that conservative whites will like him.  While hiding behind the US Constitution he clearly abhors and doesn't understand, Clarke failed to mention the US rights to peaceful assembly and free speech - which are now clearly on the line.  The other person openly being considered for this position is outgoing Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known for getting away with decades of human rights abuses in his jails, racism and other assorted bigotry, and promoting birther conspiracies about President Obama's birthplace.

Meanwhile, the vile and disgusting racism that bubbled underneath is seeping over America's bullshyte Disneyland surface:  Sexist and Racist harassment is reported EVERYWHERE, and these are just a few examples.  High School officials were slow to act when feral white thugs chanted "White Power" while hoisting a Trump sign in the halls of a school in York County, Pennsylvania;  white students at Royal Oak Middle School in Detroit, Michigan surrounded Latinos and chanted "Build the wall", referring to Trump's idiotic border wall plan;  racist graffiti was reported at schools around the country. 

But lest you think it's just a bunch of ne'er-do-well children, a group of "men" were caught harassing black students at at Hillary Clinton's alma mater Wellesley College in Massachusetts.  A University of Louisiana student wearing a hijab was physically assaulted by two white men - one wearing a Trump hat - who ripped off her hijab and stole her wallet, according to campus security and local police.  Oh, and the Ku Klux Klan is planning victory rallies.

Mexican Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez has dumped Hawkers Sunglasses from his sponsor, after the company tweeted that Mexicans should buy its products to cover their tears after Trump builds his proposed border wall.  Hawkers apologized, and put up its Latino cofounder David Moreno to post a video calling the tweet a "a joke in bad taste".
