A gunman killed four people including two court bailiffs outside a courthouse in Saint Joseph, Michigan, which is just across the lake from Chicago. Both were former police officers with more than 25 years on the job. The suspect reportedly grabbed the gun of one of the bailiffs and used it to kill him and his partner - other officers returned fire and killed the suspect. This comes after a former soldier targeted and killed five police officers were killed in Dallas, over the police killings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.
As protests against police violence against the black community pop up in communities across the US, Dallas, Texas police chief David Brown is proposing a solution: "Don't be a part of the problem. We're hiring," said Chief Brown. "Get out of the protest line and put an application in. We'll put you in your neighborhood." Police still have no clue about the mysterious initials "RB" which Dallas gunman Micah Xavier Johnson scrawled on a wall before he was killed by a plastic explosive charge delivered by a police robot.
