Good Morning Australia!! - A NSW sparkie is charged with terrorism - Julie Bishop is about to reset Australia's world view - Trump says stupid crap - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

Authorities allege a 42-year-old electrician from Young, NSW was using the Internet to assist the so-called Islamic State (IS) develop sophisticated missile technology.  Federal police swarmed the property northwest of Canberra belonging Haisem Zahab, whom they suspect of research laser technology to help the terrorist group build deadlier weaponry.  Mr. Zahab did not apply for bail in Young local court yesterday afternoon, and will reappear next week at Parramatta Local Court.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop is calling the nation's ambassadors back home from their posts throughout the world, so the government can come up with a plan to reset its foreign, trade and development policies on the global stage.  The challenges include China's push into the South China Sea, the chaos infesting our once mighty ally the US because of fascist demagogue Donald Trump, and rising protectionism.  "At a time of significant global uncertainty, it is vital that Australia harness the experience and intellect of our most senior diplomats," Bishop said in an interview with Fairfax Media, "This meeting will be important in strengthening Australia's influence and standing in the world."

It takes a certain amount of character to own up to his mistakes, but Donald Trump has no character.  The orange clown blamed his own generals for the botched US raid in Yemen that he signed off on.  The 29 January snafu missed its main target, but killed Navy SEAL Chief William "Ryan" Owens, and 24 civilians including a 7-year old American girl.  "This was a mission that was started before I got here.  This was something they wanted to do," said the craven weasel Trump.  "They came to me, they explained what they wanted to do," he added, "And they lost Ryan."  Trump also lied that the raid got "tremendous amounts of information", but military officials told NBC News that it yielded no usable intelligence.

Earlier this month, diminutive White House spokeshobbit Sean "Spicy" Spicer said, "anyone who undermines the success of that raid owes an apology and a disservice to the life of Chief Owens."  Does that include his DAD, Spicy?  Bill Owens - father of SEAL Chief William "Ryan" Owens - is blasting the White House for approving the "stupid mission" when the Trump administration was only a week old.  "For two years prior, there were no boots on the ground in Yemen - everything was missiles and drones - because there was not a target worth one American life," Mr. Owens said, "Now, all of a sudden we had to make this grand display?"  Spicer this week responded, again claiming the botched raid was a "100 percent success".

Two American racists wailed and gnashed their teeth as they were sentenced to lengthy prison terms for leading a phalanx of pick-up trucks with Confederate Flags onto a Black child's birthday party in Georgia, in the southern USA.  26-year old Joe Torres and 25-year old Kayla Norton got 13 and 6 year terms, respectively.  They did this a week after racist dimwit Dylann Roof shot and killed nine people inside a prayer meeting at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina.  The racist incidents led to the widespread removal of the Confederate flag from government buildings throughout the south.

Russia and China have vetoed a UN Security Council resolution to impose sanctions on Syria over the alleged use of chemical weapons on fighters and civilians.  It's the seventh time time Russia used its veto to protect bashar al-Assad, and China's sixth.  Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed "it would only hurt or undermine confidence" in peace talks.

A French police sniper accidentally opened fire at a speech by President Francois Hollande in western France, injuring two people.  The cop was changing positions on a roof when his weapon discharged, firing into the tent where Hollande was speaking.  The bullet passed through a waiter's thigh and lodged in another person's calf.  Neither injury is life-threatening.

The two women in the plot to kill Kim Jong-nam at the Kuala Lumpur airport have been charged with first degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.  It seems a little harsh, considering that Doan Thi Huong of Vietnam and Siti Aisyah of Indonesia appear to be dupes who were convinced they were performing a joke for reality TV and not a targeted political assassination.  Police oddly have not decided whether to charge a North Korean man also arrested in the killing of the estranged brother of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
