The heart-throb star of the TV series “Glee” Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver in his native Canada.  Police and paramedics found no signs of foul play.

British Columbia Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe said the cause of death was unclear.

However, in April Monteith had completed voluntary treatment for unspecified substance addiction at a rehab facility.  He had also gone through rehab when he was 19 years old.  Monteith had in the past talked openly about struggles with substance abuse.

Monteith played Finn Hudson on the TV series “Glee”.  His character was a high school football player turned enthusiastic singer in the glee club.  Prior to that, he had roles on American cable TV series “Kyle XY” and “Kaya”.  He was 31 years old.
