Israel has indicted a Christian US citizen for allegedly plotting terrorist attacks on Muslim holy sites in Israel. 30-year old Adam Everett Livvix was arrested in Israel last month on suspicion of possessing illegal weapons and plotting the attacks.
Livvix has past addresses in Texas and deep rural Illinois, and is wanted on drug charges in a third state Indiana. He’s charged with being in the country illegally, and with conspiring with his roommate – a member of the Israeli military – of conspiring to steal 1.4 kilograms of military explosives. Authorities say they found weapons and ammunition from the IDF in Livvix’s home.
Livvix moved to the Palestinian areas of the Middle East in 2013, living first in Hebron and then in Bethlehem. He passed himself off as a US Navy SEAL Commando, and allegedly told his Israeli contacts “about his negative opinions towards the Arab population in Israel and his desire to cause harm to Muslim holy sites in Israel”, according to the indictment. The US Navy has no record of Livvix being a member, and his mug shots don’t present a man with the physical conditioning of one of the world’s most highly-trained, elite commandos.
The court ordered Livvix to undergo a psychological review before he enters a plea.
