The Rolling Stones have cancelled tomorrow night’s show at Hanging Rock.  The band says that singer Mick Jagger has a throat infection and is under “strict doctor’s orders to rest his vocal chords” to recuperate.  Ticket holders are advised to contact Ticketmaster for refunds.

“The Rolling Stones are incredibly disappointed to cancel the Hanging Rock gig and to disappoint their fans but were left with no other option,” read the statement from the tour’s promoter Frontier.

There’s no word on what is happening with the three remaining dates that Rolling Stones have scheduled in Australia:  12 November in Sydney, 15 November at the Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley, and 18 November in Brisbane.

It’s the second time this year the Rolling Stones have cancelled dates in Australia.  In March, the band was raring to go but had to call off its Oz and New Zealand gigs after the suicide of Jagger’s girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott.
