Ukraine’s cease-fire collapsed and the country spiraled deeper into violence and chaos on Thursday, as both police and protesters introduced the deadly reality of firearms into the conflict that until now had mostly involved non-lethal weapons.  It is believed at least 75 people have been killed.

The fight sign of the change was police officers being loaded into ambulances.  Cops fired back with superior automatic weapons and carnage followed.  Medics said the police officers’ training showed – protesters were wounded in their heads, necks, hearts, and stomachs.

The Associated Press quoted Dr. Oleh Musiy, a medical coordinator for the protesters, as saying that at least 70 protesters had been killed and more than 500 wounded.  The Kiev municipal health authorities reported that 39 people had been killed.
